Research

The main areas of our theoretical and empirical work are: labour market, international trade, industrial economics, political economy, taxes and social policy. The studies contribute to basic research as well as to the analysis of current problems of economic policy.

In September 2008 the National Research Network „Labour Market and the Welfare State", financed by the FWF (Austrian Research Fund) has started, with collaborating partner institutes in Vienna, Innsbruck, Zurich and Berkeley, coordinated by the Department of Economics in Linz.
